Personal History: Look upon comics history and despair
Personality: Due to her young age combined with an eventful year, Molly's personality can seem somewhat contradictory. In a lot of ways, she is still very much a young girl, with all that entails, but she is also aware of some less pleasant aspects of life.
Molly is full of preteen bravado. She is very insistent that she is not a baby, and wishes to be treated as a full member of the group. She was very frustrated when the older kids initially attempted to shelter her from the worst of what was happening. While her fellow Runaways have long accepted that she is able to play a full role, she still often finds herself frustrated with adults who think they know better.
Despite her insistence on not being a baby, Molly is still very eager to be a kid. She likes to play and is often drawn to people who will fall into an older sibling role and play with her. She thinks it's a lot of fun to run around being adorable. She is, in the end, still a child who gets excited for sugary cereals. Early on, she often viewed everything as an exciting adventure and had a hard time grasping the true enormity of the situation. This has lessened in time, but she still finds dangerous situations more fun than she really should. She has never lost her sense of adventure, even after realizing that adventure wasn't just fun and games.
Molly is a lot cleverer than she lets on. Her companions often forget this due to her playful nature right up until she suddenly comes through with the solution to their problem. This is particularly evident in cases where she is separated from the rest of the group and is able to formulate a successful escape plan. It should be noted that her file is largely composed of a list of facilities she has managed to escape from.
Between her parents turning out to be evil and the Avengers proving to be less than reliable, Molly has developed serious trust issues. She tends to be very uncomfortable among unfamiliar adults, although she is quite willing to reach out and befriend other children. She is capable of trusting adults, but it very much has to be earned. She's quite independent, being more confident in her own abilities than the reliability of others.
Like many young women, Molly greatly fears turning into her mother. Unlike most, she has an excellent reason for this. As a result, she has very firm rules about when she can use her powers. Specifically, she does not use them against anyone who does not themselves have powers. She gets very upset when she unintentionally breaks this rule such as when she didn't realize the Punisher didn't have superpowers and she beat the tar out of him.
Molly's friends are extremely important with her. They've been the one consistent thing in her life ever since her parents turned out to be evil. She resists any attempt to separate her from them, running away from a series of establishments in order to remain with them. Despite several among them thinking of her as a little sister, she is very protective of them.
Molly's feelings about popular superheroes are, in a word, complicated. Like many children in the Marvel universe, she grew up with a serious case of hero worship. However, when the Avengers failed to show up until they'd taken care of the Pride situation themselves, her opinion was considerably tarnished. She was also particularly fond of the X-Men even before learning that she is in fact a mutant. However, an attempt to recruit her against her will somewhat soured her on them. Wolverine, who was previously her favourite, also conflicted with her, resulting in her throwing him through a wall. However, she has somewhat come to terms with him (he's just not that great with kids, really). She has also since referred to the X-Men as the best superhero team. Thus, her current attitude is best summarized as great admiration while still preferring to stay exactly where she is.
As might be guessed from "threw Wolverine through a wall", Molly has a bit of a temper. She can easily be set off by a number of topics she is touchy about, including mutant rights, her parents and whether or not she's a baby. She almost always manages to recall her standards for using her powers when she lashes out, saving actual physical altercations for other powered people and simply yelling at the unpowered.
CRAU developments: N/A
Key themes: Growing up- Molly had a lot of childhood innocence shattered by the whole evil parent thing
Embracing childhood- on the other hand, Molly’s story also emphasizes her always still being a child despite all that
Main Motivation: Doing good in a world that was harmed by her parents
Skills: Molly is a mutant with super strength. The exact upper limit of her strength has not been firmly established, but some sources give it as being above 100 tons. So... really really strong. Strong enough to beat up Wolverine. Twice. The major limitation of her abilities is that they absolutely exhaust her. While she can last longer than she could when her mutation first manifested, she still ends up needing a nap after sustained use.
Item: Frog hat (this hat has no special properties, it’s just cute)
Sample: TDM
